2026 national round

Rootstalk Learning Solutions, an education company in Dubai, has run a nationwide KenKen tournament in the United Arab Emirates since 2015 and is the Federation's partner for the Middle East and North Africa.

The 2026 season

Round 1 runs through September and October for students aged six and up. The national round follows on October 24, 2026 at the Zayed University Convention Centre in Academic City, Dubai, and qualifiers go on to the international grand finale, planned for November 21 and 22.

A first outside the United States

In December 2022 Abu Dhabi hosted the KenKen International Championship, the first time the event was held outside the United States.

Students from the UAE had already made their mark. In 2018, eleven-year-old Aritro Chaterjee won the student title at the championship in New York.
